How it calculates
Replies are the people contacted times the reply rate; meetings, the replies times the share that books one; deals, the meetings times your close rate; revenue, the deals times your deal value. The return is the revenue minus the cost, over the cost.
Nothing is sent anywhere: it runs in your browser. The starting values are placeholders, not benchmarks.
What moves the result most
Reply rate usually moves it most, and it depends on who you write to and when. Writing to companies in a buying moment, a new hire, a fresh round, a competitor left behind, is what the Signal Detector shows you for one company and Coolie does every day.
Questions
What reply rate should I use?
Yours, from your last campaigns. If you have none, run a small test first: any number written here is a guess until you have your own.
Should the cost include people's time?
Yes, for an honest return: tools, data, and the hours spent finding leads and writing to them.
Why monthly figures?
Outbound runs continuously, and most tools and salaries are paid monthly. Deals that take months to close still count in the month they started.
Where Coolie comes in
Coolie runs the plan: campaigns of email and LinkedIn steps that react to each lead, with A/B tests, sent from your own accounts within the daily caps you set.
