How funding signals work in Coolie
Add Funding to your agent
The signal has no settings of its own: your ICP's countries, industries and company sizes decide which rounds count.
Coolie finds the recent rounds
It looks for rounds announced in the last 30 days and shows each one on its lead, such as a seed round or a Series A, with the amount when it was made public.
It finds the decision makers
At each company, Coolie looks for the people whose job titles match your ICP, and gives each lead a score.
It researches the leads you pick
For the leads you choose, Coolie writes a research brief (the company's news, the person, the reason to write now) and a personalized email and LinkedIn sequence.
It writes and sends from your own accounts
Email and LinkedIn steps go out from your own mailbox and LinkedIn account, spread over your working hours. You approve each message, or let the agent run on autopilot.
What a new round changes at a company
- Its team: many rounds pay for hiring, and new people need tools, equipment and onboarding.
- Its markets: new countries and larger customers bring new requirements, from payments to security reviews.
- Its reporting: investors and a board expect regular figures.
- Its outside help: agencies, consultants and software fill gaps faster than hiring.
When funding is the right signal
- You sell to startups and growing companies, whose budgets move with their rounds.
- Your product helps a company hire, grow, report or expand.
- You can say why now matters for them, beyond congratulations.
Funding, hiring or job change?
Funding catches the decision to grow. Hiring catches the plan as it turns into job posts, and Recent Job Change the leaders who arrive to run it. Together they follow a company from the round to its first hires.
By industry
Example (fictional)
You sell an employee onboarding platform and set your ICP to software companies of 51 to 500 employees in Europe.
Coolie finds Halcyon Gridworks, 140 employees in Spain, which announced a Series B last week.
It finds Halcyon's Head of People and its COO, scores both, and once you pick them drafts an email about onboarding the team the round will pay for.
Every company and person in this example is invented.
Frequently asked questions
What is a funding signal?
The announcement that a company raised money, from a seed round to later stages. Hiring and new spending usually follow, so the round gives you a reason to write that the company made public itself.
How recent are the rounds?
Coolie looks at rounds announced in the last 30 days.
Can I choose the round or the amount?
Not on the signal, which has no settings. Your ICP's company sizes aim it at earlier or later companies, and each lead shows its round, so you pick the ones you want.
Who does Coolie contact?
At each funded company, the people whose job titles match your ICP, such as the founder, the CFO or the head of the team you sell to.
How much does it cost?
Coolie starts with a 7-day free trial; after it, the Starter plan is $123 a month. The pricing page lists what each plan includes and what credits pay for.
